we've hit some snags. for some reason, many of the computers here have severe probems with floppy disks. what this means is that i am unable to print work-related documents. oh, dear. luckily, even officials accept hastily written official documents on paper inexpertly torn from a spiral-bound notebook. which is, sadly, what they are all about to receive from me.

tomorrow, i am going back to the visit the DRPSS with a list of materials i require for the CREN, and then to the World Food Program office, to see if they will fund a CAC (another type of nutrition center) in kankossa II. so much of my work here is waiting for 'kairos' (oh, i miss ancient greek!) - the exact right time.

i go to a meeting... wait... wait... wait... insert 5 minutes of conversation about an important topic... drink tea... take a nap... get a tentative plan of action from whomever it is i am visiting, pretend that that plan will actually be followed... drink more tea... defend my decision not to be muslim... drink the third glass of tea... leave.

i do this a coupe times a week. do you see why things take forever?
