My immediate supervisor at the hospital, M, uses a special tactic. I say something, he disagrees with it. Then, he launches into a long speech , which culminates by stressing the verity and utility of my original statement. I, of course, agree, but now it looks as though the idea was his to begi with, and that I had been against it from the first.
